We had an absolutely amazing trip with Safari Soles which was recommended by Ella. Given her expertise and experience with safaris, we decided to explore some of her recommendations and we are glad we did. I will definitely consider her recommendation’s when planning future safaris.

We started thinking about a this a year ago and just got home after 14 days on safari in Kenya/Tanzania at 6 different lodges/camps. I wasn’t sure where to start planning but knew I didn’t want to leave it in the hands of some big international tour company. Somehow, I stumbled onto Ella. Between her amazing YouTube content and multiple personal correspondences, she helped me with everything from tour companies to lodges to visas to vaccines to packing and more. Also sent me a really helpful checklist for both Kenya and Tanzania. Although I’ve done my best since we returned, I can’t thank Ella enough for prepping us to enjoy this adventure with confidence.

I booked flights to South Africa at the last minute and was overwhelmed by all of the lodge and park choices and conflicting advice from South African friends, and I had no idea what was I should do! I travel a fair bit but never use travel agents, but it seemed like the way to go because there were too many options. I reached out to a few different companies and didn’t hear back. I found Ella’s videos on YouTube and watched a few for inspiration and research and really loved them, so I submitted the quote request form.

Susan from Go SAfari was the first to reply after only a couple of hours. She took the information I’d submitted, researched options, and created a suitable itinerary right away without waiting for me to reply first, which was great because that the time difference waiting for my response would have delayed things. The lodge and game drives were better than I could have imagined, and it was a place they’d stayed so it was nice to have their personal recommendation.

Ella recommended several safari operators for our family trip to Botswana, and we chose Skytheme Safaris from her recommendations. Our journey took us from Maun through Moremi, Khwai and Savuti, finishing in Chobe.

The four of us had an unforgettable experience, seeing lions almost every day and even cheetahs swimming — something we never imagined we would see !

After years of saving up to take our son on a safari for his graduation, I reached out to a well-known and respected local safari company here in Massachusetts. When we met with them, two terrible things happened: first, we learned that the total cost was way out of our budget—what we had saved for years was only enough to cover one person, and there are three of us going! Second, that company never even bothered to follow up with us after our meeting.

The owner Olly arranged everything for us in a timely manner, not easy with only 10 days notice. We had a fantastic guide in Mopane (known affectionately as Muffin). He was an incredible, highly trained tracker with an innate ability to take us (and radio assist guides from other trucks) over tricky terrain to catch fantastic sightings such as a cheetah and her 3 cubs, 2 lion prides, leopard, … I could go on. We also had a brilliant chef in Eddie and his assistants Omphile and Raps. Together they were a great team!

We have been on at least 10 game drives/safaris in several countries now and this was by far our best experience; a truly wonderful adventure. All the safari tour companies that she recommended and put us in touch with did send in proposals for review. The company we finally selected for our experience was very good, and Ella’s recommendation really paid off.

Our trip to Kenya with Crimson Brooke exceeded expectations. An adventure from start to end. Our driver Ruben kept us safe and was able to show us all of the animals that you can imagine. It was positive to experience the size of the Masi Mara, it was vast and kept exclusively for the animals that it contains.

Serengeti Clarity provided exceptional customer service. Kagoma was very patient and responsive to all my questions and concerns about the Safari booking. Frank, the owner, also answered any additional concerns I had in a timely manner. I mentioned this was a birthday trip during our booking and was disappointed nothing was planned or acknowledged when we started our safari. However, when I reached out to Frank during the middle of my safari, he made a point to have something planned and ready when we returned back to Arusha. I appreciated that. I also liked that we had the option of paying the remaining balance in person instead of before arrival like many other tour companies. They also did not add additional fuel surcharges due to the current world events after the agreed price while I heard other companies did. Serengeti Clarity also offered the best and fair price compared to others.

Our guide Emmanuel was a very experienced, cautious and safe driver. He cleaned the car daily which was much needed due to the dusts. Emmanuel knew all the roads and turns inside the parks without getting lost which was very impressive. He was flexible and accommodating with what we wanted to see and do. He provided education on many animals and other species. Emmanuel was also on time every day for our games. We did games from early morning to late afternoon with no rush to head back to our accommodations. Emmanuel was kind, patient and reassured us that he was able to drive us to the airport for our late night departure which was very much appreciated. Emmanuel provided exceptional service!

We only had one issue which was the car. We were shown pictures of the car beforehand because it was important that we would have a comfortable car for our long journey. When we arrived to pay the balance in person, the office told us the 4×4 didn’t have AC. While the weather was not exceptionally hot, the AC would have been helpful when we needed to keep the windows closed due to the dusts, especially in Serengeti. Instead, we had to keep rolling the windows up and down to avoid dusts or to get air. Also, when we were driving through the clouds on top of the Ngorongoro crater, it was dangerous due to the windows getting foggy without the AC. The seats had no armrests so it was hard to hold on to something when most of the roads are unpaved and extremely bumpy during the games. Most of the seatbelts also did not work. The car was tough though and was able to get through the rough roads and water streams. Again, Emmanuel’s driving skills came in very handy with this car.

The car had a charging station in the front, cooler, backseat pockets, bag for garbage, radio for your music and pop up top for viewing. WiFi didn’t work at the start of our journey but we didn’t really need it because we were busy with the games. WiFi did work on our way back to Arusha.

Overall, we visited Tarangire National Park, Central Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater for 6 days. We saw the big 5, the ugly 5 and many other species. We also saw a kill and feedings. This was an experience we will never forget and we will definitely consider booking with Serenity Clarity again in the future. We met another couple during our hot air balloon ride who shared their negative experience about their guide and tour company and I’m glad we did not have to go through that. We would recommend Serengeti Clarity to others!

My Botswana safari experience (May 2026) was a total success, and that was in large part due to Ella’s excellent advice, experience and connections to local providers. My Botswana safari experience (May 2026) was a total success, and that was in large part due to Ella’s excellent advice, experience and connections to local providers. From connecting me to safari operators who offered the sort of experience I was looking for (mobile camping safari), to helping me determine the country/region to focus on during the dates I wanted, to giving specific packing advice and breaking down the cost structure of the safari experience for different regions, I don’t think I could have chosen better. The key to your most amazing safari experience for the trip of a lifetime is your safari guide! We saw a review recommending Kelvin and so we requested him. Captain Safari Kelvin from Serengeti Clarity Safaris made all our dreams come true! Our safari experience was absolutely unforgettable, and so much of that is thanks to our incredible guide. From the very beginning, Kelvin promised to keep us safe and take care of us while giving us the most amazing experience! He went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable, informed, and completely immersed in the experience.

Kelvin’s knowledge of the wildlife, landscape, and local culture was exceptional! Every drive felt like a masterclass in nature — he could spot animals from incredible distances and always seemed to know exactly where to go at the right time. We saw everything we hoped for and more, including some truly breathtaking close-up moments that we’ll never forget. Often times we were the only ones parked next to the lions, or the cheetah mother and her three cubs eating a small impala! We even experienced a spat between two female lions. One morning we saw 10 lions up close, three rhinos, 50+ elephants and the mighty water buffalo herd all in less than three hours! During the wildebeest migration, Kelvin placed us in the middle of the herds of wildebeest, zebras and others to feel their immense presence in huge numbers.

What really set Kelvin apart, though, was his passion, enthusiasm and respect. It was clear he genuinely loved what he does, and that energy made the entire trip even more special. He knew the animal’s behaviors and anticipated what they would do placing us in unique positions to enjoy them such as an elephant heading to the river for a drink! He was patient, attentive, and always happy to answer questions or adjust the schedule to suit our needs or interests.

In addition, Kelvin is a Maasai and shared with us so many interesting stories about his proud and beautiful culture. The highlight was to experience a Maasai Village and share in a welcome dance, visit a traditional home and kindergarten school. In addition, Kelvin shared visits to two more tribes the Hadzabbe and Datonga. It was one of the highlights of our visits to meet these amazing people and learn of their cultures. The moments we shared together in Tanzania will be in our hearts for always.

We must also include the fantastic accommodations from Serengeti Clarity arranged for us by Frank. The lodges were beautiful with gorgeous landscaping and spacious rooms. Restaurants were on site for breakfast lunch and dinner and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The tent cabins allowed us to see brilliant stars at night, hear the sounds of nocturnal animals and photograph several lions out on the hunt! Absolutely amazing!

Finally, I must comment on our transportation. I was concerned before I came due to having serious back issues. However, between the suspension of the Land Cruiser, the extra padded seats and Kelvin’s professional driving, I never experienced any issues.
