What impressed me the most about Shanjoy Tours & Safaris was their fleet of vehicles. Unlike most safari companies, they have photography-specific vehicles with large fully-opening windows that are perfect for those who are passionate about photography.
Photos taken from a lower level are the best kinds of photos and having open-sided vehicles such as these allow you to capture angles that you simply can’t with other vehicles.
I was also delighted to find that they provide bean-bags for you to use too! I loved using the bean-bags to help stabilise my camera and help me get better photos.
As well as this, Patrick, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable and a fantastic wildlife spotter. You can request for him to join you on safari to maximise your wildlife viewing experience.

Couldn’t have been more delighted with our holiday
We had quotes from several of the companies suggested by Ella. Ended up with Shanjoy, whose excellent communication impressed us. We couldn’t have been more delighted with our holiday. We had 3 driver/guides as we went from Kenya to Tanzania and back. All 3 were exceptionally knowledgeable and made the whole experience much more interesting for us. Loved having a private vehicle and appreciated the time we were able to spend on game drives (some operators stated they lasted around 2 hours, we spent 6+ hours a couple of times.) Definitely happy to recommend Shanjoy to others considering a safari.
