We started thinking about a this a year ago and just got home after 14 days on safari in Kenya/Tanzania at 6 different lodges/camps. Last minute trip
I booked flights to South Africa at the last minute and was overwhelmed by all of the lodge and park choices and conflicting advice from South African friends, and I had no idea what was I should do! I travel a fair bit but never use travel agents, but it seemed like the way to go because there were too many options. I reached out to a few different companies and didn’t hear back. Whilst 98% of the of feedback is 100% positive, any critical feedback I receive, no matter how small, is noted down and passed to the tour company’s owner for them to ensure it doesn’t happen again. For example, someone told me that their guide seemed tired and so I passed the feedback to the tour operator who told me they’d implement more time off for guides between safaris.
If I receive the same complaint on two occasions, I will then review the tour operator and ultimately if they don’t fix the issue, I would have to stop recommending them.
